Media Release | Lindt & Sprüngli convinces with strong arguments
Lindt & Sprüngli will continue to delight all LINDT chocolate lovers with the LINDT TEDDY, sold around 50 million times worldwide. Today the German Federal Court of Justice confirmed the decision of the Higher Regional Court of Cologne agreeing with Lindt & Sprüngli’s interpretation of the law, that the LINDT TEDDY in its current design is not an infringement of Haribo’s rights in the trademark “Goldbären”. Lindt & Sprüngli will continue to offer the LINDT TEDDY in its known design as ambassador of hearts to its customers worldwide. We welcome the final decision of the Federal Court of Justice.
Incidentally, Lindt & Sprüngli and Haribo have agreed to refrain from making any substantive comments on the matter itself.
