America's number one in boxed chocolates

Russell Stover was founded in 1923 when Russell and Clara Stover began a candy business in their home in Denver, Colorado. Soon after they focused on the manufacture of top quality gift pralines, a product which ranks highly in the US chocolate tradition.
In 1993, Russell Stover acquired the Whitman’s brand which was founded in 1842 and is one of the country’s oldest names in chocolate. Whether it’s Russell Stover’s famous chocolate assortments or Valentine heart boxes, America’s best-selling Whitman’s Sampler or a box of Pangburn’s Millionaires, everyday and seasonal products have made Russell Stover one of America’s greatest brands.
Today, Russell Stover continues to make chocolates with original recipes used by the Stovers more than 80 years ago. Lindt & Sprüngli acquired the traditional US family business in July 2014. This was the most important strategic acquisition in the history of Lindt & Sprüngli and strengthens the No. 3 position throughout the USA. The new brands are a great addition to the Lindt & Sprüngli portfolio in the world’s biggest chocolate market.
